Being a mom is hard.

When I had my first baby, I remember having so much anxiety around leaving the house with my child. My mind spiraled around questions like, what if he starts crying, what if I can’t get him to stop, what if people stare, what will people think?

Whether or not these things were plausible, I worried, and when I did finally get out of the house, it felt like such an accomplishment that I wondered why there isn’t a parade happening in my honor.

I would see plenty of other moms out and about and wonder if they had the same thoughts I did. We would pass each other and maybe give a kind smile, but that was it.

Some more experienced mothers would say, “I miss those days,” or “your little boy is so cute,” and I would hold onto those words as fuel for the rest of my week. Such simple words gave me so much encouragement.

So it got me thinking, if mothering is so hard, and we all know it, why aren’t we throwing mini parades for each other all the time? In other words, why don’t we try and encourage each other every chance we get? Let’s stop talking about it online and commenting on each other's posts. Let’s start catching each other in the wild, DOING the hard thing and let’s encourage each other.

So that’s why I created these “Light Little Reminder’s”

They are small enough to put on a keychain or in your wallet.

The idea is to have one to serve as a reminder for yourself, and others to give to a mom you see in your day to day.

Take a moment, notice, and encourage that mom that you see at the store, or at the restaurant trying to soothe her fussy baby. She is doing great, and so are you!

Let’s start saying it more often.

If you're interested in spreading the love to other mom's comment on this post and send me an email at jenbrace98@gmail.com.

You will receive 3 reminders! One for you and two for any mom you see out and about.
